Autumn Plant Sale 2023
AUTUMN PLANT SALE at Meon Orchard, Kingsmead, Nr Wickham. PO17 5AU.
A visit to Doug and Linda Smith’s garden, in conjunction with their NGS Open Day. 2 acre garden planted with a huge array of exotic plants, including three National Collections. 20 acre meadow and ½ mile of river Meon bank. Plenty of plants to buy. Members, please bring more plants for sale.
Our Autumn sale as in previous years, will be held at Meon Orchard. In addition to being able to visit a fascinating garden, we will have an extensive range of plants for sale by the Hampshire Plant Heritage group. Additionally, Long Acre Plants will be bringing a range of interesting plants for you to buy. Tea and cakes will be served all afternoon. Open 2pm to 6pm, under the National Garden Scheme, the event is free to Plant Heritage members and children. Members of the public and members guests £5.00.
Directions: A32 north from Wickham for 1½ miles, turn left at Roebuck Inn, garden in ½ mile. Follow NGS yellow signs. Plenty of parking space in the field behind; access gate 250yds north of the garden entrance.
One of only a few opportunities to view the three National Plant Collections:
Eucalyptus, Podocarpus and related Pododacrpaceae, Araliaceae.
