RHS Wisley Heather Collection

Join us help Mark Tuson, RHS Wisley Team Leader and his Welcome and Riverside team, tend to one of the most important collection of heathers in the world.

The opportunity for members of The Surrey Group to maintain and strengthen their relationship with an important Plant Heritage National Collection of Heathers that they helped to plant at R.H.S. Wisley.

Mark Tuson (Team Leader in charge of the Collection) would love some help with the cut back of the Summer blooming heathers.  Volunteers will be met at the entrance at 9:45 and a demonstration and discussion of the work to be undertaken will take place at the Harry Pavilion situated by the heathers.

Please ensure that you have sturdy footwear, a good warm / waterproof jacket, comfortable pair of gardening gloves and high spirits!

We will stop for lunch at 12  arriving back at 1 where we will carry on for the afternoon until 3:30.

Toilets are located nearby.

Please ensure that you let us know if you can volunteer to ensure that Mark has enough tools to hand on the day.

No previous experience necessary.
