Description:

Unknown origin, possibly a hybrid of V. speciosa. Earliest record dates to Hiller catalogue of 1950. Quite hardy in the UK. A compact evergreen shrub over 1 m tall. Blooms in summer with deep violet-purple flowers that fade to white.
