A small, friendly, local group in a county rich in National Plant Collections. Our group meets regularly on Saturdays at Shurdington Social Centre, just South of Cheltenham, for a programme of talks aimed at the garden and plant enthusiast. We also enjoy a summer visit to a selected local garden.
Our talks start with a discussion on seasonal plants of interest - please do bring cut material or a potted plant to show to the group. We also hold a raffle after the talks (donations much appreciated). You can read about recent talks and other group activities on our Latest News page.
Non members are very welcome to join us (£3): this is an excellent way to see if you would like to join us and support Plant Heritage.
Meetings are rounded off with tea, coffee and homemade cake and a chance to chat with other members about plants and your gardens.
Members who are not able to regularly attend events can benefit from our Annual Plant Exchange. Members around the country can offer or bid for interesting and rare plants. All the plants are exchanged at our national AGM and are then distributed back to our members. No money exchanges place!
Members can also contribute directly to Plant Conservation by registering as a Plant Guardian. This scheme ensures that plants that are becoming rare in cultivation are safe in one or more known locations.
