Showing our Missing Collector Garden to the world
On Monday 18 May 2026, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show opened its gates to the world's press and plenty of famous faces. We were thrilled to welcome them all to see the Plant Heritage Missing Collector Garden, and to show them the precious plants lent to us by National Plant Collection holders.
Many commented on the beautiful planting and colour scheme, with the Full Grown Chair also attracting a lot of attention.
The garden was also part of the HM The King's tour of the show, so the Planting Design Collective were able to show him the garden in all its glory. He's the royal patron for Plant Heritage and has four National Collections (mulberry bushes, Hosta, Norfolk snowdrops and beech trees).
During show week, we showed the garden to thousands more people, and many told us it was their favourite which is lovely.
We've already had lots of people get in touch who might like to start a National Collection holder, become a Plant Guardian, join Plant Heritage as a member or donate to support our work. Why not get in touch today, to see how you can help? We'd love to hear from you.
