Seed donations

Your spare seeds can help others

At Plant Heritage, we're passionate about protecting our rich garden heritage. We're also keen to get more people growing. Our seed shop is a wonderful way to encourage more people to get involved. It also raises funds to support our work as a charity.

Donating to our seed shop

We're happy to receive seeds from rare and unusual plants, as well as more common varieties that we all love so much. You will find us at major events such as the RHS shows and local plant fairs.

Our support network has grown over the years with seed coming from members' gardens, botanical gardens, other plant societies and National Collection holders. The seeds are sorted, packed and labelled by our volunteers.

If you would like to donate seed, please send it in paper bags, marked with as much information as possible. For example the name of the plant (and botanical name if known), the year of collection, the colour or any other relevant description and where it was collected (e.g. back garden). Please let us know your name and address as well.

Please post your seed to: Plant Heritage, First Floor Offices, Stone Pine, Wisley Lane, Wisley, Woking GU23 6QD, Surrey

Thank you.

Thank you to Aldbury Products

We are thrilled to be partnering with Aldbury Products Ltd, who have kindly donated the paper and glassine envelopes for our seed shop for 2026. They've even printed the outer envelope with our charity name and details so we can reduce the amount of labels we use, helping us to meet our sustainability commitments.
