Seed Donations

Plant Heritage Seed Shop

Our Seed Shop is a wonderful way for us to encourage more people to grow plants and to share seed from rare and unusual varieties. We run it at major events, like the RHS flower shows at Chelsea and Hampton Court.

The seed shop is run by volunteers and people make a donation to Plant Heritage in return for seeds. The seeds are collected by our members and packed and labelled by volunteers, who also run the shop. It takes a lot of work and we are very grateful for their work.

If you have seed to donate, please label each packet with the common and botanical (latin) name of the seed, the year of collection and where it was collected (e.g. back garden). Please let us know your name and address as well. It's important to collect you seed in paper envelopes, not plastic bags. Please post your seed to: Plant Heritage, First Floor Offices, Stone Pine, Wisley Lane, Wisley, Woking GU23 6QD, Surrey.

Please only send seed from the UK. We cannot accept seed collected from the wild. We state the seed may have been open pollinated and so it may not be true to type. For more information on legislation around wild collected seed and the Nagoya Protocol see the legislation page.

Many thanks for your contributions.
