Description:

Originated by Col. Leonard C. R. Messel and named for his wife Maud.  Received an Award of Merit in 1969 as a hardy flowering plant, exhibited by Anne Parson, The Countess of Rosse and The National Trust, Nyman's Garden. Flowers are semi-double pink with darker veining and a boss of gold stamens.
