Home Farm Orchards (Suffolk) NEW

Historic collection

Jen, Helen & Paul Read

Norfolk

Description

Initially for personal interest and an opportunity to plant orchards on ex arable farmland since 1996, the orchards now contain a large number of varieties of apple, pear, quince, plum and cobnut, together with other fruit and nut species. The orchards are planted and managed as UK Priority Habitat Traditional Orchards. The collection aims to supply scion wood for other orchards, so has a wide range of different varieties, particularly those important in an East Anglian context. See Suffolk Traditional Orchard Group (STOG) website for newsletters and advice notes.
