Cercis NEW
Horticultural collection
Stuart Senior
Somerset
Description
Cercis were originally used from 2009 as underplanting in my newly planted 1.5-hectare arboretum. The collection is now a mixture of mature trees and shrubs and many new plantings. Species represented are Cercis canadensis, chinensis, chingii, gigantea, glabra, griffithii, orbiculata, racemosa and siliquastrum. In addition to the Cercis there are a number of unusual and red-listed trees and shrubs.
