Meconopsis 'Mrs Jebb'

Quercus (Sir Bernard Lovell collection) NEW

Tatton Garden Society

The collection began in 1948 and has proved, over the long term, to be a good site for a wide range of Quercus taxa. The soil is a deep sand or sandy loam. This free-draining soil is suitable for many oaks. In Cheshire, rain falls on average 10 days per month, spread evenly throughout the year of 40-80mm. Average monthly temperatures range 2-22°C. The topography is of a fairly level nature falling away to the river basin at the western end. The site is exposed to westerly winds but has a shelterbelt to the north.
