Local Group

We are a friendly group with members from across London and also organise events with nearby groups like Essex. The region is home to a diverse range of around 20 National Plant Collections.

Our Highgate plant fairs in April and September are a major event - find them on the events page. New members are very welcome - if you are interested in joining please contact us, see details below.

We are keen to visit local National Collections, like Mona Abboud's amazing Collection of Corokia in her garden in north London. She was a great host and we enjoyed chatting about all things plants. We are planning on visiting other special gardens and welcome suggestions.

We run two plant fairs a year - the last Saturday in April and the first Saturday in September, both in Highgate (see the events page for details). We are planning to run a workshop on plant propagation and grow plants in the spring - get in touch in you've like to join in (full training provided).

Even if you don't have a garden, you are still very welcome. We are just as passionate about houseplants, and plants for allotments and community gardens. As well as the well-known National Plant Collection scheme, Plant Heritage also runs the Plant Guardian scheme which means any member can get involved in plant conservation by looking after just one or a few rare or unusual plants.
