Ian Ladd’s Dionaea muscipula cvs. achieved National Plant Collection status last Autumn 2025.  The Venus Flytraps occupy two greenhouses in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.  Recently Ian applied for and was successfully awarded a grant from Plant Heritage Yorkshire towards the purchase of two new cold frames, to alleviate space issues in the greenhouses, so it will be interesting to see how Ian is developing his collection of  319 cultivars and taxa and what he plans to do next.
