We are very sorry to have to postpone this event on account of the drought. The orchards are sadly not looking at their best and the attractive wetland area is unfortunately, not wet.
IF YOU HAD LET US KNOW THAT YOU WERE PLANNING TO ATTEND, PLEASE COULD YOU CONTACT STEVIE TO LET HER KNOW THAT YOU HAVE SEEN THIS MESSAGE!
Original listing
The visit will include an introduction by National Collection Holder, Jim Chapman. Jim says his 'latest obsession' is the conservation of 'original populations' of fruit that are descended from the earliest wild/feral varieties but are being lost to new varieties, which sounds right up our street!
The Hartpury Orchard Centre was founded 25 years ago is set in grazed orchards. Visitors are welcome with to walk through the orchards to mature wetlands and a developing coppice area.
The visit will be rounded off by a glass of Perry and some delicious cakes
