By kind permission of Sally and Michael Westcott.
Although this garden was laid out some time back, the current owners have only lived at the Manor for 5 years and it was only in 2024 that Sally completely re-imagined the featureless old lawn with the help of a local garden designer, Sam Westcott (no relation). It now has a definite wow factor and although the planting around the house is new, Sam has interpreted Sally’s chosen colour palette with great flair and sensitivity. In addition to the new planting and its immaculate hard landscaping and many seating areas which to enjoy your tea, there is spring-fed pond, a white border, a small arboretum and field making about 7 acres in total.
Parking is at the top of the property and there is an easy but steepish walk down to the main garden.
Tea will be behind the house in the front courtyard.
Within an old framework of interesting trees and shrubs, lies this very exciting and extensive new patio area which should be at its best at the time of our visit
As with Little Dartmouth, this is a garden that we are seeing in its infancy and which has a promising future.
