Description:
First introduced in England in 1873, this distinctive fern emerged during the Victorian fern craze, when unusual forms were highly prized by collectors. A crested selection of the lady fern, it forms neat clumps of finely divided green fronds, with each leaflet ending in a forked, tasselled crest. Easy to grow and non-spreading, it remains a classic choice for shaded woodland gardens, combining historic interest with elegant, decorative foliage.
