Synonym: Miscanthus sinensis ‘Tiger Cub’
Description:
Foliage to 1.3m, flower spikes to 1.6m. Sparse flowers appear in late October. A smaller, variegated form with yellow horizontal banding. Our earliest record for introduction dates to 1996 listed by Apple Court, (Diana Grenfell & Roger Grounds) Lymington. Described in Roger Ground's Ornamental Grasses (1998) as 'one of the best dwarf varieties in British gardens' and first of the varieties to show its freely produced variegated banding. Also produces good flower display.
