Iris ‘Crimson King’ (IB)

Description:

Introduced in 1893 by Peter Barr of Barr & Sons, it's an early-blooming Iris germanica noted for its rich crimson-purple flowers and vigorous growth. A historic garden iris, it became widely cultivated and helped influence later breeding, including reblooming lines. The cultivar has been reported to rebloom in warm regions and remains a classic example of the early “germanica” irises popular in the late 19th century.
