Astrantia maxima ‘Mark Fenwick’
Description:
Deep pink cultivar thought to be named in honour of Mark Fenwick (c.1861–1945), plantsman and garden owner, best known for developing the gardens at Abbotswood, Gloucestershire. Working with architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, he created an influential garden admired for its woodland planting, alpines and herbaceous perennials. Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Victoria Medal of Honour, Fenwick was widely respected for his contribution to British horticulture and garden design.
