Achimenes ‘Hugues Aufray’


Description:

Derived from the tropical American genus Achimenes, A. 'Hughes Aufray' is a tender rhizomatous perennial with yellow flowers marked in purple from May to October. Growing to around 30 cm tall and 15 cm wide, it has a medium-growing, stemmed habit suited to pots and sheltered displays. It prefers part shade and moist, well-drained compost, becoming dormant in winter before regrowing from scaly rhizomes in spring.
