Begonia boliviensis ‘San Francisco’


Synonym: Begonia boliviensis ‘San Francisco’ (T)

Description:

A modern hybrid of Begonia boliviensis, native to the eastern Andes of Bolivia and Argentina. Introduced in 2007 by the American Begonia Society, it was bred by Michael Simcox in California from two botanical varieties of the species. It produces cascading stems with bright salmon-orange flowers above serrated green foliage, flowering from summer into autumn and making an excellent choice for baskets and containers.
