Artemisia nutans Willd.
Synonym: Seriphidium nutans
Description:
Artemisia nutans (now often placed in Seriphidium) was first published by Willdenow in the early 1800s. Herbarium records from Ukraine (1821, Inhul River) show it in Eastern Europe. Its native range extends from Eastern Europe to western Siberia across dry temperate steppe habitats. It is a woody-based aromatic perennial with silvery-grey, finely divided leaves and upright panicles of small yellow flower heads from late summer into autumn. It is adapted to dry continental steppe climates
