Description:
Mid-season historic daffodil, 9 W-GOR [Poeticus], is a tall variety over 67.5 cm, hybridised by Rev. G.H. Engleheart in England and registered before 1894. Snow-white, roundish perianth segments spread slightly, with wavy, recurved margins. The disc-shaped corona is orange with green at the base and a broad scarlet-red rim, notched and dentate. Takes its name from the Roman poet known for celebrating nature and the motto “seize the day.”
