Rosa ‘Shot Silk’ (HT)


Description:

Bred by Alexander Dickson II of Hawlmark, Newtownards, Northern Ireland (1857-1949) pre-1924. Seedling of ‘Hugh Dickson’ × ‘Sunstar’. Medium, very double flowers of cherry-red with salmon –orange shading, carrying pink highlights & undertones of golden-yellow. Blooms throughout the season.  RNRS Gold Medal 1923. Pernetiana roses were named for their originator Mons. Pernet-Ducher, who sought to introduce yellow blends within a remontant (repeat) flowering form.
