Arisaema ringens Thunb.Schott
Synonym: Arisaema praecox
Description:
First published in 1832 by the Austrian botanists Heinrich Wilhelm Schott and Stephan Endlicher, this species is native to eastern China, the Zhoushan Islands, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Growing in temperate woodland habitats, it produces two large three-parted leaves and a distinctive green hooded flower with a white spadix. Its wide distribution across East Asia reflects its adaptability to a range of forest environments.
