Aspidistra sinensis ‘Cosmos’
Description:
Originally introduced from China as a selection collected by plantsman James Waddick from the Sichuan Botanical Garden, this slow-growing evergreen forms compact clumps with glossy black-green leaves. Each leaf is nearly stalkless and marked with large creamy-yellow spots, giving a striking mottled appearance. In autumn, small purple flowers appear at the base of the foliage, often hidden beneath the leaves, adding subtle seasonal interest to this highly ornamental shade-loving plant.
