Polygonatum × hybridum ‘Wakehurst’
Description:
A striking selection featuring slender stems and exceptionally dark foliage, adorned with deep lilac flowers that rise on long stems from the leaf axils between May and June. The plant also displays strong, upright brown stems with whorls of narrow, willow-like leaves, and pairs of small tubular pink flowers. Growing to around 1 m tall, it thrives in semi-shade with moist, well-drained soil.Our earliest record dates to 2002 newly listed by Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery, Norfolk.
