Synonyms: + Crataegomespilus dardarii ‘Asnieresii’, + Crataegomespilus dardarii ‘Jules d'Asnières’

Description:

An example of a graft hybrid (chimeras) that arose at the graft union of Crataegus and Mespilus.  Said to have arisen in the garden of a M. Dardin at Bronvaux, near Metz, France, in the late 19th century as one of two forms from the same grafted union. This form has more Crataegus characteristics with the other form labelled as + C. dardarii or + C. ‘Dardarii’, displaying more Mespilus characteristics.
