Erysimum ‘Sprite’

Synonym: Erysimum alpinum ‘Sprite’

Description:

Introduced by Joe Elliott around 1990. Joe described this as ‘A charming dwarf wallflower that came to me unnamed; it’s diminutive size and cheerful gaiety suggested Sprite as an appropriate name. It’s narrow deep green leaves make a carpet only 2” high and for several weeks in spring comes a succession of 3” soft primrose flower spikes. It has proved itself hardy, perennial and quite captivating in a sunny limey soil’.'
