Nerine laticoma white form
Description:
Southern African species found from southern Zimbabwe through Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, growing in dry inland regions, often in deep red sandy soils. Originally described as Amaryllis laticoma by John Bellenden Ker Gawler in 1820, it was later transferred to Nerine. It produces large, spherical umbels of irregular white to pale rose-pink flowers on stout stems, with broad, strap-shaped leaves. Alba is the white-flowered form.
