Rosa soulieana Focke (Ra/S)
Description:
Species rose from western China, particularly Sichuan and Yunnan, discovered by French missionary and plant collector Père Jean-André Soulié. It forms a large, arching shrub with grey-green foliage, hooked prickles and abundant clusters of small white flowers, followed by attractive red hips. A hardy and distinctive rose, it is valued for its naturalistic habit and prolific flowering.
