Rosa ‘Dr. Edward Deacon’ (HT)
Description:
Bred by Henry Morse of Westfield Nursery, Eaton, Norfolk circa.1926 and named for local rose enthusiast and naturalist Dr (George) Edward Deacon of Brundall. Large, strongly fragranced salmon-orange flowers, ageing to coral-pink. Good disease resistance, although susceptible to mildew. Blooms throughout the season. A Pernetiana rose, originated by Mons. Pernet-Ducher, of Lyons for their unique blended colouring, introducing yellow blends into remontant (repeat) flowering forms.
