Leucanthemum × superbum ‘Wirral Pride’
Description:
Raised by Mr. George Murray and introduced by Burleydam Nurseries (Chester), Ltd., receiving an Award of Merit on 14 July 1948. Cited in New Plants of the Year – Issue 2, p.51 (1948) as a vigorous, compact plant, about 3 feet tall, with stiff stems carrying erect, anemone-centred, ivory-white flowers around 5 inches across. Its good form, substance and free-flowering habit made it suitable for cutting.
