Sparrmannia africana ‘Variegata’ (v)

Description:

A rare, variegated African hemp with large, heart-shaped green and yellow-cream leaves. It produces clusters of white flowers with purple-red stamens that open when touched. Ideal for cool conservatories or as a houseplant, it prefers bright, indirect light, regular moisture, well-drained soil, and occasional pruning. Leaves may cause mild skin irritation. The variegated form arose through cultivated selection in Europe, though its exact origin is unclear.
