Pelargonium ‘Lass O' Gowrie’ (Z/v)


Synonym: Pelargonium ‘Carse O' Gowrie’

Description:

Awarded first-class certificate in 1868 to Messrs. E.G. Henderson & Son, in the same year won second prize for Mr. Peter Grieve, The Gardens, Culford Hall, Suffolk for ‘Silver Variegated Zonal Pelargonium, not in commerce’.  Grieve's book A History of Ornamental Foliaged Pelargoniums of 1869 declared it was a great improvement upon ‘Italia Unita’, being more dwarf and compact, having deep green leaf centres with bright carmine zone, clear white leaf margin with rosy, scarlet flowers.
