Description:
Meadow rue, is a temperate perennial is native to the Alps, northern Italy and parts of western Europe, where it grows in base-rich fens, wet meadows, ditches, streamsides and fen-carr. It bears finely divided, almost hairless leaves and erect flowering stems with yellow to orange flowers in summer. Although now recorded across much of Europe, it has declined since the 1960s through drainage and agricultural intensification and is nationally protected in parts of its range.
