Iris ‘Zua’ (IB)
Description:
Selected by Mrs William Crawford (USA) 1914, it is a sport from Iris florentina. Relatively short, bearded iris with large flowers with crinkly, creped petals of the palest blue and a beautiful perfume. Highly rated in early catalogues for its unusual features, and sold commercially for many years. Shortlisted in the Plant Heritage Threatened Plant of the Year competition 2022 it has been kept in cultivation in the UK by Tony & Sue Crabb, previously of Sifelle Nursery, Newick Park.
