Aerangis mystacidii
Synonym: Angraecum mystacidium
Description:
This miniature, epiphytic orchid is found in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, and Zambia, in riverine and submontane evergreen forests, and in high-rainfall woodlands, gorges and along streams. This species is variable in size of both leaf and flower, however this is not entirely related to its growing conditions. Persistent characteristics are frequently present, including its short woody stem, pink-tinged spurs, and an inflorescence which rises just below the leaves.
