Anemone × hybrida ‘Géante des Blanches’
Description:
Margaret McKendrick, former Scientific and Reference National Plant Collection holder of Japanese anemones, described this plant in The Plantsman (1990) as a vigorous, growing to over 1 m once established, very large flowers with 15–20 overlapping, pure white tepals, quilled at the base and flushed with green on the reverse. Originally noted as introduced by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1907; McKendrick later corrected this in an article published in The Garden (1998), to Lemoine in 1906.
