Acer pentaphyllum
Description:
Acer pentaphyllum has most recently been assessed for The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 2018. Acer pentaphyllum is listed as Critically Endangered under criteria A4c. Here in the UK the plant is always quite slow to start growing, and usually doesn't sprout new leaves until early/mid June. New growth is then vigorous. It does not show any signs of pest/disease. It prefers a shaded site and prefers moist soil.
