Description:

Introduced before 1939. Paul Picton of Old Court Nurseries, a long-time collection holder of asters, described ‘Sternkugel’ in The Plantsman (2005, V4,P3) as a recommended cultivar notable for vigour and shapely flowerheads with distinctively coloured rays. Listed in 1939 catalogue from Kayser & Seibert, Rossdorf near Darmstadt, Germany.
