Hepatica transsilvanica ‘Winterfreude’

Description:

‘Winterfreude’ means “Winter Joy”, and this is one of the earliest flowering forms of this species, boasting large, bright blue flowers with broad, striking petals. A small, low-growing, semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial, it makes an excellent choice for woodland gardens, rockeries, or shaded borders, bringing a cheerful splash of color in late winter to early spring.
