× Graptoveria graptoveria
Synonym: × Graptoveria ‘Ron Ginns’
Description:
UK-raised hybrid by Albert Baynes, named after Ron Ginns of Desborough, Northamptonshire, from whose collection it emerged in 1975. It forms compact rosettes up to 20cm wide with distinctive bronze-red leaves that retain colour through winter. Similar in habit to ‘Harry Watson’ and ‘Albert Baynes’, it produces branched panicles of pale yellow, red-spotted flowers in spring. Prefers well-drained soil, drying between waterings, and is difficult to propagate from leaves.
