Arisaema consanguineum subsp. kelung-insulare (Hayata) Gusman
Description:
Endemic to Taiwan, this distinctive subspecies originates from the island’s humid mountain forests, where it grows in the shade of dense woodland. Representing a local form of a widespread Asian species, it was first described from Taiwanese material and later recognised as a distinct subspecies. A notable clone was collected in the wild by plant explorers Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones. It produces mottled stems, elegant radial leaves and a green-and-brown striped hooded inflorescence.
