Appendicula malindangensis (Ames) Schltr.
Description:
Orchid native to the Philippines. It grows in warm, humid tropical rainforests as an epiphyte, living on trees rather than in soil. It anchors to branches and absorbs moisture and nutrients from rain, air, and organic debris. It thrives in the wet tropical biome, especially in shaded forest canopies with high humidity. It is part of Southeast Asian forest biodiversity and helps support ecosystem balance by adding to canopy plant diversity.
