Phlox ‘Dodo Hanbury Forbes’
Description:
Perennial garden Phlox to over 90cm tall, with large panicles of fragrant clear pink flowers in summer. Said to be named for Dorothy Hanbury-Forbes the wife of Cecil Hanbury Forbes of the Hanbury family associated with Villa Hanbury, La Mortola, Italy. Likely to be the same as Phlox 'Lady Hanbury' which was described in Phlox: A Flower Monograph (1954) by B. H. B. Symons-Jeune as his own introduction, a flaming pink overlaid with with orange, height 4 ft.
