Description:
Golden or yellow arum lily, this striking tuberous plant is native to South Africa’s Mpumalanga province. It grows 50–100cm tall, with ovate, spotted green leaves and a bright golden-yellow spathe blooming in summer. The smooth, funnel-shaped spathe reaches 13cm, surrounding a spadix up to 7cm long with orange-yellow pollen. It thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Deciduous, it bears leaves from spring to autumn. Toxic if ingested and irritating to skin and eyes; handle with gloves.
