Paeonia tenuifolia ‘Plena’ (d)
Description:
Distinctive double-flowered form of the fern-leaved peony, noted for its finely divided, feathery foliage and richly coloured, deeply cupped red flowers. A long-established garden form, its double-flowered character was recorded as P. tenuifolia var. plena in 1836. It is an early-flowering, hardy plant that forms a compact, bushy clump.
