Rosa ‘Madame Butterfly’ (HT)
Description:
Sport of ‘Ophelia’ discovered by (Edward) Gurney Hill (1847- 1933) of Indiana US, 1918. Hill was born in Rochdale, UK in 1847, emigrating to New York with his family aged 4. His father, Joseph, worked as a nurseryman. Large, very double flowers of apricot-pink, with deep yellow shading and copper centre. Moderate, honey fragrance. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
