Allium flavum subsp. tauricum (Besser ex Rchb.) K.Richt.
Description:
Native from south-eastern Europe to Iran, including Crimea, this bulbous perennial grows in temperate rocky habitats where it is adapted to dry, well-drained soils. It forms clumps of grassy grey-green foliage topped with nodding flower clusters in soft pastel shades of yellow, apricot, cream, salmon and orange. Drought tolerant once established, it naturalises readily and attracts bees and butterflies.
